The larger hunter is an agile water predator which relies on short bursts of speed to lunge at and grab their prey, then drags them under the water to drown or bleed out. It's very slow and uncoordinated on land though, and it's hunting relies on prey getting close enough to strike as it has limited vision and stamina. A max length of 5 foot long (not including tail), tail size varies but can reach up to the same length as the rest of the body.
The smaller fish feed on other tiny water creatures or scavenge from larger carcasses, they use their bioluminescent fin tips to lure creatures their way. They can't take on large animals, and sometimes their light attracts creatures that would also eat them. No larger than a foot in length, fins make them seem larger than they are.
These two creatures have a symbiotic relationship, the fish luring the prey within reach and the hunter taking out the larger creatures which they can both feed from.
